My sister has chicken pox!!
I haven't got it before! I hope the vaccine I took when I was 6 still works....
My school exams are in a week's time!!
And that's not the worst part. My theory is in 2 weeks!!!!
How could this happen to me???!!
Delightful of me to leave the blog for more than 20 days. I can see cobwebs and dust forming around the corners. Sneezed myself silly cleaning and sprucing the whole place up again. It looked so drafty and forgotten -actually it is- that I had to make it look a wee bit more presentable.
I have to fast forward the events that happened during the hiatus period. My memory's not so good now, it may be developing into Parkinson's but then, I'm not that old to get that. Por favor I'm starting to natter like an old nanny. Lets leave the irritating nattering woman behind and on with the past events!
Nothing much during the first week of February but lots during Valentine's week. I've never seen people buy gifts from the school's librarian board and koperasi so feverishly. The smart entrepreneurs were doing brisk business alright, with their products selling like hot cakes. The Valentine's mood is in the air so who cares if the prices are ridiculously higher than normal.
NOW that is why Valentine's gifts sales ALWAYS
goes through the roof. Everyone's heads are so dulled by the sweet and hypnotic fragrance of Valentine's, they automatically pour their money into the smart business people's hands.
This year, my school's main gifts suppliers must have made the largest amount of profit ever. It beats selling co-curriculum cards at 50cents a piece and school badges. At measly prices.
Fast forward to the BIG day. Tension in the morning was unbearable. Even the teachers with normally unfunctional senses were unusually alert.
I knew those who had a partner were guaranteed to receive huge declarations of love through teddies or roses or something of the sort. You know how random these uncreative people can get.
The first period and deliveries soon arrived. I received a glass vial from my bestie Vinnie. That was sweet. Most of the people in my class received presents from the same sex as the school is too small for many people to be able to each have a secret admirer of some sort.
3 periods before recess was spent in the KH room where my class had to complete our woodwork project. Amidst the hammering and sawing, the delivery people had to shout the receipient's names. My name was called 4 times because I was deaf and did not hear. A stack of message card were shoved into my hand. As usual, all from my besties.
The funny thing was after recess, Hui Zen and I went to her class and found, in her bag, a pouch of marshmallows and chocolates from Jerome, Form 5. I was peeing in my pants... It was hilarious. And the look on her face...
Apart from that funny episode the rest of the day went normally, except for the part where Dudu received a present from a girl that clearly was crushing on him. And he then proceeded to tell me who he bought presents for. Not for the aforementioned girl. Another one.
Reel her in slowly Dudu. Too fast and she'll get away quicker than you can say Valentines. ;p
Oh and one of my smart classmates gave Feb 14th another title.S.A.D.
Singles Awareness Day
Righty. Now to end this long post before your eyes wear out and you curse me for making you short sighted and squinty eyed.
I'm flying away on a fluffy cloud...
